Well, it looks like this place will be ours on December 4th, 2008. After getting our hopes up so many other times, I will wait until the final signatures until I really get excited. We have made a few purchases anticipating that we will be occupying these acres though. The first purchase is another Livestock Guardian (Great Pyrenees) puppy to keep our Luna company while she patrols the new acreage. Wendell has named him Roger. He is only 8 weeks old but he already weighs 20 pounds! He is so sweet and great with all of the other animals. There are a couple of wild dog packs at the new place so we will definitely need our dogs to defend their flock. Also, Mary and Erik's dogs had a new litter of 8 Australian Shepherds! They are beautiful and we will choose a couple of them to join the "Homeland Defense" pack. The goats are all doing well. We bred only about half of the does so that we can work our way back into the millking barn s-l-o-w-l-y. We have a countdown now of less than 150 days until we will be milking!
Here are a couple of pictures of the dairy house. It is probably going to be where we spend most of our time with our home now being more of a resort/escape dwelling!
